Weak top flipper on STtNG?

On the Delta ramp shot from the top flipper on my STtNG, often (maybe 7/10 times) the ball does not make it up the ramp and comes rolling back down. I am wondering whether the flipper coil or other parts need changing.



Does this sound like a problem with the flipper (or a problem with my ability)? If it is the flipper, should I change any other parts of the mechanism in addition to the coil?

I took off the coil and cleaned the coil sleeve and filed down the plunger (shanfer the edge of the tip) and the same for the coil stop end.And i was amazed how stronger that flipper felt.Plus i lowered that ramp at tad at the borg ship end .

on a good day i can hit it up to the warp 9 pluses



on bad days can not hit it at all
