weak right flipper on rfm

try that again!! need help with a weak right flipper on a RFM that also sticks in the up position a lot. Check end of travel hold switch and that seems fine. Is it just a knackered coil ?

Cheers Kev

Probably find the flipper plunger and the end stop mushroomed. Take them apart and file off the mushrooming to get you away but may be worth buying rebuild kits, about £25 for 2 flippers iirc.

Ok guys so I stripped the full flipper mech down and found the coil in the state shown in pic below ??? I think the cause was that the front coil retaining bracket was not squarely mounted and when I stripped it down the coils sleeve was worn away on one side at the front edge. I think the friction this generated caused the flipper to stick in hold position and then the coil to overheat on hold and hence the burn mark. I have cleaned, filed coil stop/plunger and replaced sleeve and all seems to be working ok, so I guess the coil may have survived. Think I have made the correct assumption here guys?
