I rebuilt the flippers on my Fathom. In league play it was noticed that the one of the flippers would occasionally "Reflip" when held in the up position. If the flipper was held up, and a ball bounced on it at speed it would slightly lower the flipper causing it to re flip.
A suggestion was made that the EOS might have too small a gap. I checked this but the fault lies elsewhere.
I checked all three flippers and two have weak hold coils - lower left and upper right. You can push the flipper down with your hand with modest effort. The lower right holds so strongly I could not push it down without risking snapping the flipper bat
All the flippers have new parts. I either cleaned up or replaced the eos. The return springs are fine, they are not super tight or anything like that. The coils match those specified in the manual. They are all receiving 44.1v
Any ideas please ??
Thanks
