Weak flipper

Hi all
The stern jp I received today has this funny condition where the left hand flipper feels unreliably wobbly (despite the game being less than 1 yr old). I am quite able to make the steep right ramp with it but if a ball falls on it when the flipper is up, it will deflect (when I am expecting it not to). Is this simply an indication of a weak coil or is it a problem with the setup of the flipper?
Thanks
Dom

Ok, I'll have a look at the 'end stop part' by comparing it to the other side which works well.
Thanks
Dom

Right so I have had a look at this flipper. And my uninitiated eye can see little wrong with it. The end stop bracket is in place as far as I can tell.
Any views?

Just to be 100% sure, we are talking about the rubber part on the right hand side of the flipper assembly that stops the coil rod from shooting out of the coil?

Phil, I am not sure exactly what's wrong with it, so before i go and ask Phil (PH) for parts i thought i'd better figure it out?
If it turns out to be a new end stop is needed then I'll ask Phil for a new one.

you can usually see gold (brass sadly) dust in the cash box area from the end stop failing....

On reflection, Phil (@Pick Holder), you are right, i ought to have ask Phil (PH) for advice on what to do instead of posting this thread.
Admin, please lock this thread, i'll continue the conversation through PM.

Don’t see why there’s a problem you asking on here ? You were trying to sort it out yourself instead of asking Phil. It’s not like you were casting aspersions on PH is it.

For those wanting to learn about these things.
As suggested by others, the end stop was damaged. See pictures. Phil is sending a new part. Happy days.
So next time my flippers behave weirdly I'll know to check the end stop bracket.

Just to finish the thread off, phil sent two new end stops yesterday. They arrived this morning in the post. I have replaced the damaged one. And we are back on with a flipper that's working properly. Bring on that 1.1billion grand champion score.
