Hey peeps

I’ve just rebuilt all three flippers on whirlwind.

Now the right upper and lower are not just weak but almost non existent.

They move freely when you use you hands to move them. So it’s not mechanical.

I had hell n all trouble soldering the wires back on the lugs. Needed a welder to get the wire to take the solder. I’m wondering if I’ve damaged a coil?

It’s both flippers. I suspected the cabinet switch at first and although it’s old it was working fine before the rebuild.
Is there anything else which could cause both the flippers on the same switch to go weak?
Wired incorrectly?
Thanks
Gaz

Sounds like only the hold winding is doing anything. You sure the EOS switch is making good contact? Could also be incorrect wiring.

Does the game have a solenoid test you can try?

check eos is wired across the correct coil winding. if it’s across the wrong one it will give the described problem
They’re as they were before the rebuild I’m sure of it. I’ve gone off the pics a dozen times! Would one wired incorrectly daisy chain to the other flipper?
