I'm coming to London one day this week for half term with the family and wondered if any locals could recommend interesting places to go, ideally shopping focused but open to other thoughts but we're only there for the day so won't have that long.

Have already been to and may revisit the following, so looking for other suggestions. than these:

Oxford St.
Soho
Covent Garden.
Westfield Shopping centre.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Cheers
Greg

What type of shopping? It would very much depend on your budget and what the family like looking for.

Spittlefields (near the old Pipeline) is worth calling into. Bricklane is worth going down for the experience (or if you want to eat Indian food)

Camden is good if you have teenagers with you. Cyberdog etc can be a bit of an eye opener for younger teens 😂. Pretty safe during the day but expect to be offered drugs if it’s evening. (Not dangerous, just very in your face at the moment)

Notting Hill if you fancy somewhere posher.

Some nice artisan type shops in Islington off the main roads.

Jewellery shopping? Hatton Garden. (Sell those pins and turn them into diamonds 😂)

Harrods is still iconic for people who have never been.

Battersea Power Station is worth checking out, they also have Lego and Transformers shops that are pretty cool.

Actually Battersea is now a good call since the northern line extension was opened.

It’s all very dog friendly in terms of restaurants so that gets my thumbs up.

I can just imagine @robotgreg saying to the family "I'm a bit disappointed because was I told that it was a really good shopping centre.......................oh! look! a pinball arcade"

Many thanks for all the suggestions.

I forgot that we had already visited Camden and Battersea Power Station in the past.

Yeah, I may try and sneak in an arcade somewhere, if we have time while my wife and daughter have gone off shopping.
