VR / mixed reality

Jesus. That was so fuc_king awesome that I almost forgot to notice and find humour in that dude’s comedy accent.

Gimme gimme gimme!

It’s initially £7.99 for 3 tables ( zen creations) included. Then you can pay per table, not sure of cost.
This looks great, but I’ll be waiting to buy, as zen have terrible history releasing content that’s full of bugs straight away.

Do you have to buy the machines separately, if what do they cost?

I can't see any pricing at the moment for the downloadable content on Meta Store.

"Pinball FX VR brings the iconic franchise library to life with the ultimate ‘80s arcade atmosphere - now fully immersive in virtual reality! Dive into a fully customizable and interactive setting with the integrated Mixed Reality mode and transform your living room into a personal arcade paradise with pinball cabinets and unlockable decorations for the perfect retro touch!

Huge Pinball Library - The game comes with three amazing tables. Delve into the shadows of the big city, explore ancient, secret tombs, and hunt for treasure on Pinball Noir, Curse of the Mummy, and Sky Pirates: Treasures of the Clouds.

Additionally, you can purchase tables from the franchise’s extensive library from tables inspired by the biggest brands in entertainment to timeless Williams Pinball classics."

This was released yesterday - has anyone else tried it out?

It obviously has the usual issue of again paying for content you might have previously owned on their other platforms, but beyond that i'm pretty impressed. Some decent Williams tables to start off with but i'm curious to see how quickly they extend the library.

There is this video showing what the mixed reality mode can do, and in a room with physical machines already in it. He is also doing another one tomorrow including a review of FX VR in general.

Strangely there is a menu option which is meant to turn the Williams extras on and off but it doesn't seem to have any effect.

I'm presuming it's a glitch which will hopefully be fixed soon.

Downloaded pinball fx vr this evening, must say I’m very impressed. Was expecting a bit of a let down, due to zens previous releases, and launching full of bugs. But it’s very slick, Williams tables play and look great. The whole environment is pretty cool also. Only downside is the tables are a bit pricey.

Generally, on the xbox/ps5/pc etc - it is just a button so you can do it in game. I prefer them standard and without the graphical extras.

Guessing this will be the same in VR? The old Star Wars VR one had this feature.
