Vertical ball popper too powerful

On my Shadow, the vertical ball popper which raises the ball up to the Battlefield mini playfield, then throws it horizontally is too powerful. Sometimes it thumps the ball with so much force that it bounces back and is thrown straight off the mini playfield

It has a 25-1000 coil, which is what should be there according to the manual.image.jpg

Might you have any suggestions as to how I can slow it down a bit please ?

Thank you

I was told recently that the popper on my Shadow is very powerful, the ball does stay up there though. Maybe try adjusting the angle of the little wireform by placing washers under its fixings in different combinations so it hits the mini playfield/ playfield targets at a different angle?

As Kevlar has said, adjusting the wireform helps a lot with the ball staying on the battlefield. You might also want to try adding some foam (target foam would be good) to the ball popper cup that the ball sits in just to take the edge off the force of the ball popping up.

Thanks for the suggestions. Given the ferocity of the popper, I thought that slowing it down was the way to go for fear of it breaking targets etc.

Inserting the weaker 26-1200 coil did the trick
