So the end before the start...what's currently inside?? I'll list it out and then go into more detail on further posts
Analogue to digital plunger.
12v mains relay triggering power to 4 gang extension when pc is on.
Fused spur between relay and 4 gang.
Pinscape controller for nudge, buttons and plunger.
2.1 amplifier.
Speakers from an old 2.1 altek lancing pc speaker set.
Teensy 3.1 led controller.
Fuse board for each power line to leds
700w PSU
I5 4th gen pc, 8gb ram and 250gb ssd.
Nvidea gt570 2gb graphics.
Analogue to digital plunger.

After trying a few different designs, I have had most success with this one. Prints on my Creality Ender Pro 3 in just under 3 hours.

It's the perfect size to fit this variable resistor.
All in all well under £10 with electricity and filament.

All in all well under £10 with electricity and filament.
The small plastic bit that slides up and down snapped in two on mine. I had to MacGyver it with a paperclip. Works surprisingly well until I can get a proper replacement.Analogue to digital plunger.

Indeed, the 3d printed can be really brittle. It feels like I was printing different versions for weeks until I got one that worked.
My first plunger was the potentiometer screwed to wood and a bodged gate bolt hoop wrapped over the plunger and cable tied to the potentiometer.
I assume you've got some ventilation in your cab?

Yeah, but since upgrading (lol!) My graphics card it needs more. One fan at the back bringing air in and one in the base sucking it out seems to be lacking on these warmer days. May need to double up on both, like a server.
