With all the clever mods that get made, on here and out there, is there any reason why I’m struggling to find under cab lighting for modern Sterns?
I have an LED strip under my Metallica that changes colour in sync with the speaker lights & I love it.

So has anyone on here dabbled with under cab lighting for Spike 2’s at all - any leads, tips or advice would be appreciated 👍

Mezel Mods do a kit for $70 but as always the shipping is expensive.

Just need to know how to make these connectors with inline fuse. I’m ok with the IDC connector but don’t know how to make/assemble the rest of it.

This stuff with cheap a remote control 5m RGB strip under a tenner from eBay / Amazon.

Most have a sound to light syncing setting

That’s the bits I can manage, it’s the power source that I’m not too sure about - where’s best to tap the power from and where/who can make the connector?

You can get 12V from the PDB in the backbox next to the power supply. It's a separate feed which the game doesn't use, rated up to 3A which is fine for a couple strips.

It's in the middle of the PCB, labelled CN6. Pins 1 & 2 go to ground and pin 3 is 12VDC.

Molex KK 156 plugs fit and IDC connectors (as used on WPC games) should work too.

It's not fused though so it would be good practice to have an inline fuse. I would DIY by soldering wires to a fuse holder.

I can supply you with a couple of these piggy backs

Then one of these external PSUs which are about £6 again off eBay

My whole set up on my GZ Le with my speaker lights fitted another £15

That PSU also supply’s Power To my GZ mods and speaker lights and could easily do under
Cab lighting too.

Mine is powering @madnats feed frenzy Boards which supply’s 4 outputs in either 12v r 5v and can do custom patterns using a phone app.
So this could be used for super under cab patterns like my speaker lights do.

Cheers Col, I want this for 4 pins so really just want to add strips, plug in & done. Simpler the better.
