UKPinfest 2025 - August 22nd, 23rd & 24th

Had exactly the same a few times today, weirdly always seems to be the older guys. Maybe some more signage around asking people not be dicks about game time would help ? On the plus side met loads of random people , played multiplayer with them and had a good chat and a laugh while we were at it.

If someone starts another game whilst I’m waiting I lean in and hit start a force myself on them for a two player game.

Some people have no concept. It’s irritating. They’re probably the same people who let their kids listen to YouTube on their iPads in public places on full volume
I love this. I'd never have the balls to do it myself, but I love it.

I wonder if someone there could do me a favour. I've been having a go at some of the Wikipedia pages about pinball machines (and learning a lot while doing so), plenty of them could do with extra photos, but Wikipedia rules mean they need to be copyright free so ideally uploaded by whoever takes them. Out of those there think top three are, Pin-Bot (one of entire machine [ideally inc. cabinet artwork], one of Pin-Bot mechanism closed, and one open), , LotR (playfield, and another of the ring shot) , and Hobbit (playfield, and then another of the screen). I expect there are quite a few more that have a Wikipedia page without extra photos, but I'm not sure which (plenty don't (and in some cases never will) be on there, and others already have them). Some also don't need any more than what is on the flyer either.

Had a great time at Pinfest this year. Many thanks to @Big Phil for allowing Holly to play Dune early so she could avoid getting bumped in the big crowds.

Big thanks to Neil McRae for putting Evil Dead and King Kong Premium at the show. Evil Dead is truly a special game and I'm gutted I didn't order one when I had the chance!

@David retro you've done a great job securing Dune in time for the show. Demand on this game was insane with queue times upwards of 20 minutes! Truly worth the wait and can't wait to get mine.

Last but not least a massive thanks to the staff on keeping the games running and clean. The layout was much better this year and I hope the new format stays.

Hopefully next year all being well, I'll be bringing someone new to the show!

Hope everything goes well for the show today.

Scott.

Great Pinfest as expected. Smoothly ran show as ever with kudos to Phil and all the staff involved.

As said above the new layout worked really well in regards to the free play area. Much more room and less crowded.

My show favourites were Dune (wish I had the money) TOTAN and EATPM as 1st time I’d played them.

Regrets, I stupidly bought zero cash with me so didn’t play any of the cash games in the foyer, and there were some great titles Kong, evil dead and pulp fiction top of my missed list… always next year!
Oh and also regret playing Blues Brothers, I really don’t understand how it ever left the factory!

Great show this year, big thanks to @Big Phil and the team. The set up was tons better with the comp separated. It felt much more roomy and the air con was a great thing. This year you could easily get on the games unlike last year. Fantastic display of games by Dave at retro arcade specialist and great games brought by everyone and especially @SeikoKid with his wonderful GTF and Tna.

I especially like we are starting to see more vendors at the show, it’s interesting to see what people are selling and adds a different element to the show just like the shows in the US. Be great to see more people selling game mods also.

See everyone next year

Cheers

Paul

Had a great day today. Thanks to everyone involved in making the event happen.
I second Scott’s comments above. I also preferred the layout this year and huge props to Neil for bringing Evil Dead and Kong. Really enjoyed playing both today. Evil Dead was so good. Theme integration, sound, art….just amazing.
I’m glad I got to play Dune today too. Good half hour wait in line, but it was worth it.
Loved GTF and TNA also. First time I’ve seen/played TOTAN today. So many good games and always something to play.
Until next year!
Cheers 😎

You'll be annoyed to learn evil dead and Kong were not on coin play.....

Had a brilliant day today. However.
Why oh why do some people (selfish tw@ts) still hog a machine knowing full well of the etiquette of having a look around after a game ends. 3 separate times it happened to me today. One guy on Terminator played a 2 player game (fair enough) and once finished, knowing full well I was waiting, punched in 2 more games!
It did not spoil my favorite day out, anyone reading this and going tomorrow please be fair.
I only had one guy do that.. but he did it multiple times... I jumped in with "dude, there's a queue" after he started the 3rd game in a row and got a faux "oh, i didnt see you there" (yeah, because you didnt look)... one guy in hundreds thankfully isnt a problem. But damn, what a selfish......<radacted>

On the lighter side.. what a wonderfully fun weekend with excellent, friendly people all over the venue... Loved it, HUGE selection of machines that i'd never played, new people i'd never met before. Brilliant weekend

Speak out or inform staff next time

You’re joking!…just assumed all foyer games were charity ones. You live and learn.
The worst part was that i found a single pound coin as I was packing my bag on Sunday morning and thought it was fate for me to play one game on pulp fiction as I checked out.
Only for the machine to reject it…sometimes its just not meant to be! 😂

Very well done, my second year visiting pinfest. This year I found the hall and car park packed on Sat, I would possibly I got lucky finding a space in 4 mins.. the hall was better then last year but still has that trip hazard cabling system, but didn't fall this year. Have you considered the tournaments in the big room and the other pins everywhere else? Less pins in a room less noise. I don't know.... I did enjoy it.. starting to meet people ... Star of the show was Dune

The tournaments don’t need a room that big, and there wouldn’t be enough room to host 100+ machines everywhere else.

I think the main room this year was a vast improvement on last year in terms of space and comfort
