UKPinfest 2023 Hype thread

I’m not sure I need any more hype for this event as it’s my pinball highlight of the year. What’s not to like - pull up on thurs evening for a weekend away from the family where I can socialise, booze and play lots of pins. Win win win

Anyways the Luton is booked

And I can reveal 4 of the 8 pins I’m gonna take are:
Ghostbusters premium
Sopranos
Twd
Game of thrones
 
Looking forward to this years pinfest. Bringing a friend with me who has NEVER played pinball before - I know, right! Although he will get a few games on Foo's when that turns up.

We were originally meant to be there Thursday to Monday, but ended up getting tickets for AEW in London for the Sunday night... So leaving early Sunday from Pinfest to get to see some wrasslin'

Some awesome machines listed by the very kind owners. Especially looking forward to playing your Ghostbusers Premium @Jmac seeing as many seem to think I didn't get on with the Pro because it was the Pro haha! Soon find out I guess.

Last year I left Pinfest with my "buy list" being turned upside down, I am sure the same will happen again this year.
 
I'm mega excited. Got my speedos washed ahead of the event and I'm particularly looking forward to the the new Turkish baths in the hotel.

I'm bringing industrial amounts of pot noodle for the hotel room and I'm intending on drinking more spirits and less beer this year.

We'll get the Deadpool challenge up running and gauge interest for that soon too.
 
It will be my first time there, so Phil, could you tell us what the format will be please?
Is there a tournament too going on daily, as well as machines and "shops"?
I want to pop over for the Saturday only from London as going with my 10 year old, but it feels like I will be missing out if I don't pack a crate of beer in the boot!
 
Friday night 7pm (VIP ticket) - Event "officially" starts with 100 machines to play. Including the competition machines. Ladies comp in a separate room. Stall ball comp open to everyone. 11pm finish

Saturday 10am - All day event. 100 machines to play. Except for the competition machines. Qualifying running in comps - 6pm finish

Saturday night 7pm (VIP ticket) - 100 machines to play. Except for the competition machines. Stall ball comp open to everyone. 11pm finish

Sunday 10am - All day event - 100 machines to play. Except for the competition machines. Last chance of qualifying on comp machines then it's the finals. 6pm finish

Soooo so much partying happening around all of the above.

Kids have a separate tournament too?
 
Noooooooooooooooo! We throw the kids in at the deep end. No treading on eggshells here. They learn the hard way. Andy Foster destroyed some 7 year old snot nosed kid last year. Floods of tears! Got to toughen them up though. It's a good learning process. No easy wins in life.

I mean yes, there is a kids tournament.
 
Super hyped for this already and it’ll be my first time attending.

Have a packed schedule planned to make the most of my time, hopefully it all works out to make for a memorable trip.
 
Looking forward to this… now what to do about a hotel room, anyone fancy selling that spare bed in a twin they may have… 😂 - or if anyone can’t make it, I’ll buy their room off them :)

Actually mate any help would be excellent. I'm intending on getting twice a drunk as last year. If I'm not asleep at the bar like @Poibug with Darth Vader looking at me disapprovingly I'll be disappointed.
