TZ Three Lamp Board issue

Hey all

Hope someone can help, been trying to fix this board, the Extra Ball light doesn't come on, nothing wrong with the bulb or bulb holder, tried refreshing the solder but it still won't work.

Sorry if a dumb question. But did you test the lamp in the test mode, or notice that it never lit during play ?

It could be that extra balls are turned off in your settings, like for league play

Have you checked continuity from the pins on this little board to your actual lamp holder - remove the lamp and do this

Next weakspots would be at either end of the wires running to it. See if they look ok/ test continuity with a multi meter on both ends of the connectors (board end and lamp holder end)

Then look at header pins on the driver board, these often fail. Reflow solder onto them

Whilst driver board out of game, check the relevant numbered transistor. You identify the number in the manual. If you put multimeter into diode mode you can test the transistor in situ on the board. Test a known working one - see what your meter says. Then compare to the transistor.
