Ok time for another shop log a super mint tz for a customer in Dubai
I took this game in px from a group member about a year ago and it’s been sat in my storage untouched since then so time to crack on
It’s going to be heavily customised as to it owners spec this includes lots of mods and my pet hate is poorly fitted mods and overloaded driver board so I have commissioned jim@mypinballs to make me a custom board to fit 8 mods on and powered by a separate power supply so no more re set issues I am sure he will add to the post on the way
So at this moment in time cab is stripped waiting to be prepped for re decal playfield on the bench ready for stripping Hugh list of parts ordered inc new playfield

Yes, we put our heads together and came up with this. This board is fed from a separate isolated 12v power supply plugged in the games switched line input, so no more driver board mod load issues. Also the board has power leds, fuse protection, and 5v output option. The output connectors follow the wpc layout standard.

Is this going to be sold to others?? I can sense a marketing opportunity here ;)

All mechs striped coils will get new sleeves and wrapper all the metal will get zink plated
The flippers will just get replaced as complete assembly’s with coils so no need to strip those

Thanks for taking the time to post these shop logs Chris - I'm looking to start my first refurb on a Creech next year so being able to learn the ropes through these posts is invaluable.

Chris when you rebuild do you add connectors to the mech's? I see some do/some don't and am in two minds about it myself so interested in your view.

I don’t add conectors no just solder them all back on
Though I do leave conectors on when I do wpc 95 games which come standard with them

I don't envy you Chris. Taking on a TZ is about as hard-core as it gets. Just getting the clock working reliably is a major endeavour.

Good luck.

Given all the work you are doing, how about the third magnet mod ?

Now I see why your shopped pins sell for what they do Chris.
Some amount of work and effort already.
Great stuff

Right next up is a big cleaning day first job wireing harnes both for the cab and playfield a good soak in tfr and a blast off with the jet washer brings them up like new hang on the washing line and leave to dry D41213FD-345C-4BBF-9BD6-122AFC6BD1C4.jpeg0AA6C6F2-39DA-42D5-A661-0CBFC879645F.jpegBB16758A-689E-4D7D-95D6-28FF984D1094.jpegD41213FD-345C-4BBF-9BD6-122AFC6BD1C4.jpeg0AA6C6F2-39DA-42D5-A661-0CBFC879645F.jpegBB16758A-689E-4D7D-95D6-28FF984D1094.jpeg
