TZ power diverter photo's needed

My friends power diverter top has snapped somewhere (just the rod left) does anyone know what this connected to?
Found the bottom part in the manual but not the top. Does the rod just hook into the top? so probably need a new rod?

ah managed to find this image, looks like it just hooks in, just need a new rod then?

Yes, you can bend a new one from a spoke or buy it.

My friend has the new part, but how do you replace it? Has what looks to be a little spring pin or something? how do you remove this? Do you just hammer it out? or use some special compression tool? Also how do you put it back once out?
