TWD backbox light

The bulb in my TWD backbox wasn't working on arrival. I've swapped the starter which didn't fix it. Any tips for troubleshooting before I shell out for a new bulb? What voltage should I be getting at the bulb?

If it isn't the bulb it could be the ballast.

Is the lamp properly cliped in to the holder?

As Dave said give the tube a twiddle if no luck check the connection one in the cab next to the transformer and one in the backbox in the sheath at the left side

Pretty sure it is. Had it in and out a couple of times. I'll have a closer fiddle with it tonight

Ok, I took the top bulb out and replaced it with the bottom bulb. £4 from screw fix. It lit up for 1 second and then died

Is the new bulb the right type?

I believe so. But if anyone can check what starter they have in a TWD that would be helpful

It’s never just the tube if it lit up then blew it’s the ballast I wouldn’t mess about just replace the ballast tube and starter for what it costs I believe pinball heaven stock them all

You need to make sure the starter is the correct voltage and you need to make sure the ballast is the correct hz
