There's perhaps a middle ground between litigation and replacing the entire TV - contact a couple of local TV repair companies with your videos and ask them if they can identify the issue / quote based on the symptom it shows.
This is a good idea as then if you went Small Claims you’d have an actual amount of money to claim for and an actual loss to demonstrate.
I’ve had some success at Small Claims as both a consumer and on behalf of a company. If your case is clear, well documented and in line with relevant laws, you have a very good chance of succeeding on the day.
