Powering up my TS the sound on the midrange speaker crackles a bit but seems to be a lot better after say 10mins. Still not perfect. Have replaced the mid speaker and checked connections to the sound board and no change. Any ideas

How's the earth? Are all the screws to the sound board tight and present as I've had issues before like this which was cured by earthing the board better
Sounds like capacitors on the output stage of the sound board to me. Or those outdated tda2030 amp chips........

Tightened the sound board to the backbox. Have checked earth's too. Sound is still the same. See link. You especially notice crackling on the voices. Improves considerable after 10mins of play though. Does TS have DCS?

So what's best, do I purchase another soundboard to test it out?

Sounds like clipping. Does the crackle disappear at very low volume? If so I'd suggest replacing the TDA2030AV amps first. If they've been run at high levels for a sustained period of time they'll be bust.
