Tron - help!

It’s a bit of pain that it happens as soon as you buy your first pinball machine. Has the person that sold it to you given you any support?.
It does sound like one of the flipper transistors Q15 or Q16 has blown and needs replacing. I had the same thing happen to me years ago on a Metallica machine.

It’s best to replace both of them whist at it.
You might need to send the board off to someone who is handy with a soldering iron. The chips are very cheap, it’s just the labour to do the work. The good news is SAM boards are quite easy to work on before they switched to surface mount chips on Spike boards.

Well, it’s this exact machine (has that exact blob of solder above F11).

@Monkeyboypaul - what was the outcome when you had this looked at in 2018v

Pic above is from a ST pro 2015 which has the same boards as a Tron
Fuses can just blow because of movement and age ,
As this is your first machine I have is ask did you fit a 7A SB or a 7A FB ?

as posted elsewhere, and via PM, I still have my TRON! It can't be the same machine.

I sent the board off to Pinball Mania and it came back good.

If you have the exact same solder blob then perhaps there was a Stern factory 'fix' applied to a certain early board version or something? Or it's just a freak coincidence!

Yeah, seems like it just be a factory thing! Looks exactly the same!
