Expired Trade or Sale - 50 pinball machines (plus doubles)

Expired Due to no activity
Good advice for many Ben, I’m sure most newcomers would benefit from this. Matt however is well known and has been in the scene a long time, he’ll know all the haunts to check out for a good trade.

I may be a newbie! But I like to try and help out where I can!

Why don't you buy it and then loan it/locate it at flipout Ben ;)

A fair comment and idea! Something I may have to think about and research so will take this conversation offline for now

better to look for Classic sterns than Zacs IMO. Zacs build quality wise are ropey (especially the plastics). Spooky and Farfalla are interesting but quickly boring in my view. or maybe its just because I'm rubbish at them :D LOL

Who would sell a spooky for 750 quid ?
I bet if he sold it for that ,he wouldn’t be getting one back at that price

more importantly, who would buy it for that?! In my view the game is not that great, Pinball Champ I like more.

Neil.

most of the games on Matt's wish list are also on ours. It has took so much effort to get even the modern games to work on coins that we are now loathe to let anything go. And the games that take bugger all money here are amongst my favourite games so wouldn't be for sale anyway (T2 and Stern ST hardly cover their electric) . No Good Gofers and X MEN when it comes back off site loan may be available but have to be high priced as the Stern games in particular have dried up from my usual operator sources. 8 Sterns Jan to March , none since. Game of Thrones may be available but only if one of the Sterns on my wish list come up. At the moment those are TSPP , Kiss and Metallica

I'm going off topic now (sorry) what's been the problem with getting the games to take coins? I remember you saying it a couple of times before

Butchered wiring mainly. Operators robbing games of good doors before selling on. Foreign and 3 slot doors not a problem apart from the ludicrous price of 50p single mechs £35 each when you cant get £15 for multi mechs on new £1

Looking to purchase my first pinball after 30 yrs , house and family get in the way , nows the time !!!!! im after The Getaway High Speed 2 anyone willing to sell a decent - good machine south london area . £ 2500 ? ???? ISH maybe a further 3-4 machines later

I should think youd get a cracking HS2 with that sort of cash. Best of luck in your search and congratulations on taking the plunge into ownership. You'll probably find it fun, and all consuming!

Welcome to the forum! You'll definitely get a nice high speed for that sort of cash. Might be worth making a wanted thread to get the attention of people who might have one they want to pass on.

thanks guys for the initial response and the info gents , good idea to set wanted post i will do that now if i can . i will send Roger a text and go from there .

@Daywalker, price is where a buyer and seller overlap.

I would think that a fully working, complete, faded cab HS2 can still be had for South of 2 grand.

Matt has obviously priced these as what he sees as 'trade' value. I am sure he would discount for £ notes.

Like when you go say into computer exchange (C-EX) - you get a cash value or an exchange value.....

He is a decent guy, be worth a chat if nothing else!

HS2 is a cracking first machine but it is a common game. They all tend to suffer with cab fade so expect that. Sub £2k based on availability not playability

When i first sat down and typed out this list of games I didn't have any prices listed. I then realised that I would be inundated with requests for prices and pictures, this would be time consuming and a lot of it would amount to nothing. So I started to add prices but didn't want many of them to sell, only possibly a fair trade. Add to this that I was committing to deliver any machine to Andy N or Mark Squires etc to be fully serviced and then collected before any sale and the cost of that had to be added.

Some games are of particular use to me and would be expensive to replace. My HS2 for example (as it has been mentioned) is on site in a bar, it only averages 10 plays a week but it is a site frequented by mostly 18-30 year olds and is somewhere where I think our hobby gets great exposure to a younger audience. I would love to put a Deadpool or Guardians in there as i believe these themes (and easy to enjoy gameplay) would bring more youngsters into the hobby, but they aren't cheap to buy. Anyway my HS2 has a very good original cab, nice dark reds on the side and only slight fading at the front. It plays nicely and honestly I would be happy to keep it.

If anyone is interested in any of the games I have listed, give me a shout. If i don't have to pay for a full service or delivery then the price may be very different.

Very interesting Matt! Fascinating too!

I think youngsters would be drawn to flip out?? If you were to place flip out flyers in the bars where you have your machines, I get the feeling they will come flocking! What do you think?

Seems like a lot of hard work goes into sourcing your games all credit go to you for that!

Of course you can ASK whatever you want for your Pins. But the trick is to SELL them. Sorry but at those prices you are waaaaaay off the mark!

I am looking to rotate a few of my games (mostly for the Flip Out Pinball Club) after the UK Open next weekend.

Below is a list of my games with prices (which I get asked for regularly), although I would be particularly interested in trades with Daventry coming up!

I will pay for a full service by one of the countries legendary service technicians first and prices include delivery (within reason). If you want to save the cost of service, that can be discussed.

Its a long list, some games are at the club, or at home, on site or in storage. Many of these games are in excellent cosmetic condition and have ColorDMD's, Shakers, mods etc.

Before the price police jump down my throat, some of these games are very expensive! That will be a reflection of their condition or that I just don't want to sell them (and the forum rules state a price must be shown). However, even the expensive games could be traded if the circumstances were agreeable.

Here you go:

Domino (Gottlieb 1968) £795
Knock Out (Bally 1975) £795
Hot Line (Williams 1966) £950
Lucky 7 (Williams 1978) £950
