Hi Guys,

Free play knockers. I want to disconnect the one in my TOTAN. I have no idea what it looks like or where inside the cab it is... can someone let us know please :)

Am in two minds about whether I want to do this. I think I'll do it and if I miss it, hook it back up again!

Thanks,
Aaron.

Not 100% on where it is on TOTAN but likely in the backbox they'll be a coil mounted to the inside that strikes a plunger against a metal plate. I'd expect the wiring to this coil to have a connector on it pretty close to the coil so just disconnect it

According to the manual it's mounted top left in the back-box. The knocker is a cool feature but they can be pretty loud. You could fiddle with the game settings to reduce how often it activates, disable match, increase replay thresholds etc.

Cheers guys.

I figured out how to reduce it to 5% but couldn't find how to disable.

I think if I do disconnect it, people will be disappointed when they get a match and no BANG... but sod it, I wanna try.

It should have a connector on the cable going to the coil that can be pulled apart thus disabling the knocked.

If you want to keep the knocker but quieten it down a bit, glue a piece of leather on the plate where the plunger strikes. Will change the thwack to a healthy thud.
