As my Tommy is now back together and working I have noticed the auto launch is absolutely ****!

So over the weekend I put the upgraded auto launch in;

Now for the most part its better, at least it can launch the ball round the loop and if 2 end up in the shooter lane during multiball it can cope, but when 3 get in there it still struggles.

I am now thinking of replacing the 22-600 coil with a 22-550 or even a 22-500 as these are more powerful coils.

Just wondering if other Tommy or DE owners have this issue and managed to fix it.

Never a problem on mine, it hits them fast and smooth around the loop. 22-600 fitted, original auto launch.

You shouldn't really be ever getting 2 (or more) balls in the shooter lane. One thing to check is that they are not launching into the metal wireform support near the top of the launch lane ? ..... I have circled it in the pic ..........could be worth sticking a couple of washers under it to raise it up a bit. This is a known problem on some Tommys.

At present, mine is a little lame without any rebuild and a tough life. It still clears the skill shot and makes the pops. Sounds like something is fouling as per Grizz' post.
