You know how it goes...

One in...

And so, one out!

This Time Machine was purchased a few months ago, and has been running happily. I haven't done much work to it at all - changed the LEDs in the backbox to all white (wasn't keen on the intensity of the colour) and fixed a few switches that were not behaving themselves. All in all, it's an honest players quality machine.

Whats good
  • The cabinet is is lovely shape. Silk screen sides are intact with no major damage
  • Backglass is generally lovely, couple of marks but not visible from the front
  • The playfield is decent. There's been one major repair done near the center ramp entrance, and while not great, it's certainly not awful. A couple of blemishes elsewhere also, particularly over the rollovers, but nothing crazy.
  • The boards all look good. No hacks or burnt connectors from what I can see.
  • Coin door not perfect but nice
  • Ramps are all is pretty good shape. Star Warp ramp has some damage which I think is common to Time Machine's, but is fine.
  • It has some nice sideblades
  • All plastics intact
  • The chimes are ace :)

Whats average
  • There's a weird cable bodge in the backbox that should be looked at, could be solved easy with some decent crimping.
  • The flippers could probably use a rebuild, and an in-lane realignment (the ball doesn't roll clean onto the flippers, which is tres annoying)
  • The backbox sides have some cosmetic (but repaired) damage
Nice and clean.

2.2k which is what I paid. Martin will be here soon with my next frivolous purchase so we could do swapsies then.

Iconic game. The new owner will have a ball. Such catchy music and great art.

My daughter has never forgiven me for selling ours. Her face when she saw it tombstoned on the doorstep awaiting Martin..... You know the one, shock, gasping for breath and then a few seconds later the tears. As if she has trodden on glass or been stung by a wasp.

To date she won't entertain playing pinball again. (Almost ;))

Oh man - this is so familiar - I have been there with my daughter also!

Although if she had her way none of them would ever leave.
