Hi guys,
Playing a bit of pin tonight as you do, and the golden cliffs solenoid didn’t fire again and I was on for a good score too ! Arggggghhhhhh
I did a few checks and this may be total coincidence but I spotted the head of the machine moves a little more than I’d like when tilting
So took back glass out and door open, then tilted the machine.
I noticed the transformer moved so checked all the connectors, one had worked loose I’m guessing from being tilted ?
On closer inspection there’s a brown wire only that’s bottomed out or taut that’s stopping the rectifier from sitting flat to the side of the back board.
It actually sits on the s**** and can not be fixed one side !
I’m guessing it’s been cut off and been put back in connector for whatever reason, previous broken wire maybe ?
To improve this could I cut the wire and solder a piece in and shrink wrap over ?
So I can sit the rectifier board flat to back board and screw in so it’s solid ?
The ‘play’ in the back board I noticed one of the small wooden angles pieces of wood to strengthen has come loose, easy fix by glue and pin
Anyone come across anything like this before ?
I’m hoping it cures the intermittent issue on golden falls but even if it does not it certainly needs sorting anyway.
Any advice I’d be grateful
