Thinking of brightening up a Scared Stiff

Hi all,

I've got a SS - no LEDs on there. Up until recently it's never really been an issue, with the whole playfield being quite dark. But we've put a new Stern machine next to it and now all of a sudden our SS looks super dark.

So i was wondering - does anyone have any recommendations how to go about brightening up the playfield without losing any of the original charm? I've seen a few LED kits and i'm not really a fan of how it looks - seems a bit too much. I'm looking to brighten it in a more subtle way :)

Is it possible to just swap out a regular bulb holder and replace it with an LED one?

Any help or thought are appreciated.

I've put white pop bumper rings on mine which really livens up the "monsters Lab" I personally do not think that GI would suit LEDs particularly the back glass.
I was tempted to do the inserts and still may do. Mirror blades would also look good IMO.

A good mix is to use warm white LEDs in the GI where you can't directly see the bulb and use normal lamps in the ones you can. Another approach is to use LEDs towards the rear of the table and incandescent at the front (slings, in lanes etc)
