Initially got a few of Daveys Trunk fix boards to stop the ball getting trapped next to the trunk but unplugged it as the new Soren ROM claimed to fix this issue.
Then we installed the two posts, although they're mini posts with the fattest rubber so the same as yours really.
Claire's Theatre is with a friend right now and he kept reporting the ball getting stuck so I sent him two cables and told him to plug the trunk fix board in, no issue since.

Yeah, previously I used slim posts but they can be a bit tall. I'm thinking I've got the height right but I'll have to test when the ramp is on. I hate installing the TNUT on the top side, what bright spark thought it was a good idea to install a TNUT top side ontop of artwork? Its just asking for trouble.

I suppose it was the only way of properly securing the trunk mech as it's quite hefty?

A can of fruity cider fell off the side of something in my garage today and burst while I was moving stuff about, me running around with my hands wrapped around it squirting everywhere and trying to dispose of it was stressful. What a mess and had to waste time cleaning it all up, I wouldn’t mind but I don’t drink cider
Was stressful at the time but funny thinking about it now.

After 6 weeks the replacement decals finally arrived.

Thanks again to @Ant-H for bringing his along his silk screen kit. I didn't get it 100% right, its honestly harder than it looks but I didn't charge for either, so its a free upgrade!

I orginally had left the backbox back alone but just wasn't happy with the condition of the edges, the panels weren't flush with each other and were out by some margin, typical of the time I'm told.

So I sanded it all down, originally Neil was happy with a black finish but this was just a free suprise extra.

On the final stages with the game now, top playfield is all bolted in, backbox wiring is done. I daren't turn it on tonight. I'm leaving that till tomorrow.

I see you've actually got two wing-head bolts for the back box. I thought that the holes in the base panel of the box were far too large; possibly over-reacting to complaints from the time when they were very tight, and if the back box wasn't perfectly aligned* the bolts were difficult to wind in. I used to add a large washer to each wing-bolt, with a rubber ring to keep it in place when the bolt was removed for transporting the machine.

* curable by loosening the three bolts for each hinge, and moving the box slightly while trying the securing bolts, but I suspect many ops wouldn't be bothered.

I usually use the backbox holes for alignment, as you say helps with alignment for the backbox hinges. Speaking of these were originally locked in with large washers and some wrong sized metric screws!

Well it powered on yesterday. Had some issues with my replacement ribbons. I think at least one is misaligned.

The stumblor screen was originally plugged into J116 which only gives 5v I think but the screen needs 8v to operate so no idea how it was working before.

Bought a separate PSU and did some wire splicing.



Coils all working but I've got to sort some unresponsive switches.

Looks amazing @s000m great work! Did you get your powder coating done locally or ship the parts off somewhere? I’m having a hard time finding somewhere to do it locally near me. Also wanted to ask about the screen for printing the warning text on the back - is there a supplier for these?

I use a local guy but purchase the powders through Prismatic powders. Initially was a bit difficult to get them done as the company I use mainly do this for industrial equipment (large manfucturing equipment) with a small side hussle for car parts and garden furniture. They didnt' really get why I wanted all these small parts done at first and were a bit dimissive. I've established the relationship now and I'm just known as 'the pinball guy' it probably helps I'm down there on average every 2 -3 weeks with more parts to do.

As for the screen printing @Ant-H is your man. He has the skills, equipment and know how.

Yeah I did mine in a purple with blue glitter.
