Theatre of Magic - all balls stuck behind captive ball

Hi All,
Currently on holiday in Crete and the Mitsis hotel we are staying at has 2 pinball machines. Theatre of Magic and Baywatch, both with colour DMDs too.
Anyway, the Theatre of Magic seems to have all its balls stuck in the lane behind the captive and newton balls as as a result the game is “Out of Order”
How the heck did the balls get in there? Air ball?
Obviously I am going to offer to fix it for them, so I assume I can just slide the glass down and flick the balls out but only if I can get my fingers in there. I assume there is no other way.

Something odd is going on there, maybe a ball guide or plastic is missing that meant they got in there.
The captive ball area is a supposed to hold one normal ball behind a Newton ball, the normal ball is stuck in there and doesn't leave.

Have you got any better pics?

There is a ball lock there. That is why. Coil or transistor blown at a guess.

We have a Theatre and I'm pretty sure that's not a ball lock.

You might be thinking of Vanish which is further back.

Damn it, I started walking out and a little kid went up to the machine and started a game as it had a free credit on it. Instantly lost all balls as he was frantically hitting the flipper buttons.

The girl who runs the games room at the hotel was showing me photos of the other pins in the other Mitsis hotels in Crete and they all have colour displays and include Twilight Zone and Indiana Jones.
