image.jpeg My replacement alien head has arrived. The old one was looking pretty battered and being a rare, game specific part I felt the £65 cost was worth it!

Toyota flame gold, 3 coats of lacquer aswell to help prevent wear. Looks the business, pics really don't do them justice

@Cryptkeeper has my TOM so hope they look well when they go in

Colour DMD for my Metallica arrived this morning.
I already know that with the amount of money I'm planning on spending on a blinging it I could buy another Stern! (Custom side rails, backbox hinges, UV reactive internal side board decals, lit flipper buttons, etc. etc.)

Another little box of goodies from CPC. Enough Panasonic capacitors to recap 5 Bally Squawk & Talk boards, which is handy as I have 4 to do!

They also included a blue 3m Cat-5e cable that I didn't order!?!?!
 
These arrived yesterday - got some worried looks from the missus as i'd accidentally paid for them using her PayPal account so they came addressed to her.

Can finally tidy up a couple of places in the cab where the cabling isn't secured properly.

Yep. I only needed 3 but they were so cheap I grabbed some extras.

They secure the wiring loom in place in the back box so that the weight of the cables isn't all sustained by the cable loops and connectors.
 
Today I received a package from China so I was excited as I'm expecting a hand scanner off eBay. But instead I got this -

Looks like a volume knob for an amp or something. There's no clues as to what that left/right select does, and the only wires going to it are two black and one white for presumably power, Earth, and some kind of signal

Anyone know? Anyone want it (assuming the sender agrees to write it off and send me my item)?
 
can't see anything there, mind you the guy i bought the scanner off has about 2000 items and even narrowing down by categories doesn't help. it might not be anything to do with him, might be one of the countless other Chinese vendors i've bought stuff from over the last year ... like LED voltmeters, silver paint, spring hook tool, wire stripper tool, transistors, non-pinball stuff etc etc

i will wait to see what the scanner seller says first, maybe they know something

Looks like that good old Chinese 'quality' to me :thumbs:
 
Yup, Telecaster switch plate. One knob is for the volume, one is for the tone and the switch selects which pick up to use.
