Odd request having started repairing and updating my Bride of Pinbot, now I can get into work shop with UK weather getting better.

Looking at playfield I have some wear on out lanes, specially where ball drops on from ramps. Does anyone have high res artwork for playfield or just out lane artwork? So I can plan repair, repaint or replace.

This any good

Great playfield Chris, Diamond Plate.

What a wonderful decision by Williams, and consider how much DP has impacted the conservation of these marvellous machines.

Most System 11 playfields are heavily worn/ lifting mylar/ general mess. Most WPC games have held up beautifully in comparison.

Wear from ball dropping on to playfield, not decided how going to repair.
Current options:
1. Repaint and overlay with mylar.
2. Print partly transparent mylar stickers.
Odd manufacturer did not protect these points on playfield.

Mine inlanes on BOP are touched up. Not by me I my add. Not the best job. Any more photos of playfield.. Doesn’t look too bad if I’m honest. Maybe fit inlane cliffy’s to tidy it up a bit

I’d recommend Michael at EMH Custom for clear coating and playfield refinishing.

If it is just those spots I would repair it with acrylic paints. Thoroughly clean the are first. Lay down some clear over the damaged area (the clear means you can wipe off the acrylic paint if you aren’t happy with it). Buy some fine line brushes and modellers masking tape and a reasonable quality mix of acrylic paints. Then taking your time, slowly build up layers of paint. You will be surprised how easily it can be to do a decent job.
The best tip for mixing paints to get the right colour is to place an OHP transparency over the area you are trying to match and mix the paint over the top. Add some mylar or clearcoat over the repair when you are happy with it.
