The "How much is this table worth" thread....

What do u all think an Independence Day, original condition with a nice unfaded cab same owner for last 20yrs would sell for in todays weird climate, asking as been offered one in px against my Star Wars pin, it’s not a pin I want as had 2 before so would move it straight on, thinking should sell 2.2ish ?

Courtney's LEDed full working struggled to 1800 in the covid boom
Never been a popular title
Yeah it’s a weird one, I enjoyed it back in the day , prefered it to a few of the sega ones tbh, but I have weird taste preferred my Star Wars home pin to the pro I had, then saw all these labyrinths for sale hence me wanting to sell the Starwars but wow had it on FB was getting so many messages every day, then spent the whole bank holiday waiting for people to come view buy, but no one turned up so I pulled it 😂

I’m considering putting up my Hobbit - Black Arrow up for sale. As per most of my machines it’s in stunning condition, low plays. I saw a standard edition sold recently in the region of £7k. Whats a reasonable price for a Black Arrow ?

No offence to whoever bought the standard ed but imo they massively overpaid. I know of a Smaug edition that sold for less not long back.

Help with valuing a WPT please? Thinking of selling it to make room for a D&D.

Cons:

The worst being the cab which at some time in it's life took a fair few dings and scrapes.
Some pilgrim has coined the lockdown bar but not so you'd notice.
The speaker panel could use a little TLC too.
I touched up the cab and in normal room lighting it looks pretty tidy but in broad daylight - you can see the work.

This is a near 20 year old title and it knows it.
The lower flippers probably need rebuilding but I've never bothered because it plays just fine.
Never missed a beat? Er... no. I've had to have the bonnet up a couple of times including replacing the two opto amplifiers at the back.
Having said that I've owned it 4 years and put 1000's of happy games on it with only the occasional hiccup.

Pros:
Pretty much perfect playfield.
I fitted a brand new upper playfield as the old one had clouded over.
New decals on all the drop targets.
Very nice colour DMD which really makes a difference with this game.
Mirror blades with the poker chip decals.
And it plays well, very well.

How much is my Addams Family Pin Table Worth?
I have an original Addams Family pin table which I am selling. Excellent condition, serviced and maintained by Majestic Pinball. Bought from Williams' Amusements (Pontefract) about 3 years ago. Original spec - no gimmicks but sensible upgrades - Coin mechanism taking £1 and 50p, New bear kick ramp (see photos), Full LED conversion on all lamps, Plays really well - just like new. Located near Chelmsford Essex UK.
I hope the photos work OK.

I think the general range with TAFs is £5-8k
With an absolute dog probably a little less.
The price can exceed the £8k mark but it’s not the norm in my experience and needs certain circumstances or it’s a high end resto by a reputable business/individual.

Hmmm little disappointing - I'll check with Williams as they did a restoration on it and upgraded parts, lamps, topper etc when I bought it. I'll also check with Majestic for any supporting material they have. Thanks anyway.

How much were you expecting? You might as well half it now given then current market.

When it comes to sell it on, the market decides what it is worth and hopefully you can appreciate that it won't be worth what you paid because the market has changed and also because you bought it from a company that needs to pay taxed, staff salaries etc.

Firstly, I am a TAF owner andI am in agreement here. £8K would have to be a specially good example. Fully restored CAB, inside and out. Perfect playfield, stripped and clean, wiring harness cleaned, all metal work cleaned and shiney.
Your pictures show the Cab to be worn in places and marks on the playfield show it to have the original playfield and was likely sited at some point. This isn't saying it is a bad example, just has to sit in the range given.

The only restorations I discount including in the range are ones done by the likes of @Ant-H and they are unique and something else.
I also discount machines that are so ropey that you may never get back the money and effort you put in, they still won't be worth more than an especially nice one.

ridiculous. so many TAF owners seem to think they're sitting on a ten grand game. it's right there on the game: G-R-E-E-D

i suspect even the nastiest dog TAF would fetch £5-6K, but FFS they sold 21,000 of these things. i bet the guys who remade the real classics (MM, MB, AFM, CC) are seriously considering remaking this title - THAT would kill the second hand TAF market stone dead, as they are the very opposite of rare, despite being desirable.

The photo Luke chose to exemplify the point everyone is telling that you don't want to hear, is a perfect one. i'd pay about 7200 for yours if i wanted it, which i don't.

RoadShow still has the rust issue from the manufacturing issue.

WCS has a scratch from poor storage (wasn't me!)
