whirlwind the better game on balance but Banzai would command top money. In the olden days DE Simpsons and Bally Harley Davidson were the top price alpha numeric games as theme was king and most newbies would only look at dot matrix games. Id say today Back to the Future could sell very high

I think you are 100% right 👍

Tbf it was, minus new decals mind
I’d put an ok EATPM at 3500 …4000 tops for a beauty so not sure that’s a ‘bargain’ imo. 2500 then maybe 🤔

Also did it *need* decals ? Not everything has to be restored to so called collectors condition ….i’d much rather a decent original even with flaws than redecaled tbh …. But then I’m old skool pinhead that never worried too much about cosmetics if it plays fine 😁 Spill a beer on it , slap it about , don’t worry about shooter lane wear , stop waxing it every other day ….. it will be fine kids 😎

I’d be out at 3k. Kind of want one to add to the other two but it’s not a great game.

I suspect you might get 4k as people still seem to be throwing money at games (although there has been a slow down recently judging by the unsold games)

Hiya

Thinking of changing things up in the office as little to no room available and so many cracking machines coming up for sale.

Wondering what opinion was on the value of my Beat The Clock?

I'm sure she is the definition of players condition. Fully working.

Playfield under mylar, but planking. Doesn't affect play in any way.

Paint missing on the exit of the shooter lane.

Cabinet not bad at all but decals flaking on backbox and around legs. Chip missing on front, but painted over.

Leg bolts are stiff to go in, think the plates need replacing but never needed to as just cranked them in with the socket set. Original legs in aged condition.

Backglass has paint missing centrally. I have applied triple thick to stop the deterioration.

One bumper cap not original, have original but plastic clip has broken.

All boards fine as I recapped the squawk and talk. Displays all good.

Plays great, really fun, but I'm the only one playing her in the house now and I can nail it now :).

Cheers, Ash

If that's hs2, that looked like a really nice condition one considering it was original cab art!

Faded, front was coming off held on by L brackets. See pictures. Might be OK in your eyes but for me I can't leave it like that.

Unfortunately I am not in the position to hunt down a GZ Pro just as yet. However I was just wondering what is the current expected price to pay for a pre owned Godzilla Pro ?

Seeing as a GZ Pro was released in 2021 at just over 7k ( pre price hike) and now retails at 8.5k (nib). Can we expect the original 2021 models now command a higher pre owned value due to the price hike ? Is it expected that those selling an original 2021 machine now expect to make a profit on their original 7k (nib) purchase ? I get that this will depend on the seller but what is the general thoughts on this ?

Does anyone know of there is a list of any hardware changes, fixes, board rev changes etc on the latest run against the original models ?

@RetroHeed yeah, I expect so.

I imagine it's £500-£1000 difference buying used? Say a nice HUO only one, someone might be alright to take a £500 loss on it against a NIB machine, HUO few plays/little wear, maybe up to £1000 if on site and well used in need of some cleaning/care.

So 8k-ish HUO
and maybe 7.5k-ish if you can find one ex-sited..

Yeh it sucks (unless you are a seller). I don't think it really matters whether it is 2021 manufactured or post price hike, they will be worth the same.

Sellers will justify it saying they need to pay more for their next Pin, be it NIB or used, and the cycle continues.

You have to ask yourself how much more you'd he willing to pay for NIB over a nice looked after one. I've done both, if you get to the point of reselling a used Pin where you've had no major repair costs then you feel you've saved quite a bit of money over NIB.

It wasn't that long ago where your NIB Pin would be worth at least £1k less as soon as you flipped your first ball. I lost nearly £2.5k on my WOZ, worked out it cost me £5 per game 😭.

New buyers in the last 2 years don't realise how lucky they are. The upfront cost is higher but the depreciation is minimal, if any at all the way things have gone.

For 8k+ you can get a used premium! (e.g. mando still for sale on here at 8.5k)

I'm not sure how many 8.6k NIB pros are even selling to be honest... PH has had a GZ prem marked in stock on their website for a couple months now and it's not moving?

At the end of the day there may be a pool of buyers for a used GZ pro at 8k+ but it will be small. And GZ is the hot thing to have at the moment -- I wonder about other titles...

@GezTheHealer Condition and HUO is certainly key for pricing along with mods. Even a HUO used for say 8k without any mods is very expensive IMO. Personally I would also not be paying 7.5k for an ex-sited GZ Pro either.

@Marvello I had previously considered a NIB GZ Pro before the price increase, but not a chance now at those prices. GZ I think will likely have to wait a good while before we pick one up, it's a super game that everyone wants/has and loves. Possibly in the future prices may come down a good bit, as it's well sought after there should be plenty going around, but only if people decide to move them on. Sorry to hear about your loss on WOZ, I seen Williams amusements has one listed today, just under 10k. Personally I would be fully expecting at least an average loss of 1k on a NIB now. If you are losing 1k on average for a NIB, personally I am thinking hiring may be the best option for certain pins.

Speaking of hiring, we have a Ghostbusters. My son and I had always loved the theme, callouts, light shows, layout etc etc. We never got the chance to play one at Pinfest or could locate one anywhere to try out, but it was always on our most wanted dream pin list. GB appears to go anywhere from 5.5k to 6.5k and again is a lot of money to put out especially for a game you have never played. In the end we hired one for 2 months (due to leave next few days) from a very good operator up our way. If you can't collect yourself, have to use Martin etc, hiring is for sure the way to go as a try before you buy, price for us for GB for 2 months £300 (and we play everyday/night)

@Fubar Good point, I haven't played a Mando but certainly seems a good price for that premium and as you say it's still for sale. This is a machine that may well be sought after in a year or two. I think the same with regards to NIB Pro's Godzilla pricing also, some may take the punt, but for the others I doubt it, I can't see many people buying NIB at these higher prices, unless you are certain its a keeper for years to come then its worth it I guess.

Personally if I am ever thinking about spending 8.5k on a GZ Pro NIB its a no brainer to splash out a little more and grab a Cactus Canyon (CGC) or a TNA 2.0 (whilst they are still available). GZ will be a pin you will easily find at a later date.

seen so many getaways with rough cabs but the playfield always seem to hold up well. a great workhorse and was my usual recommended starter pin for newbies.

was my first dot matrix game with a full display. bought a week after a data east star trek which was on the 19th November 1994. i used games on the star trek to pick my lotto numbers in the first draw and a won a tenner!

however , being a sad old git i now prefer high speed.

I think it’s hard to know what to buy or sell nearly new games for atm due to the rapid price increases on nib. Most people who are selling something are doing so to buy something else, if that something else is nib they may be hesitant to sell for over 1k less than nib price, but that’s now really expensive for a used game.

I’ll take myself as an example, I bought a used AIQ prem only 4 months ago for 9k, a nib prem at the time was 10.5, I’ve also spent a few hundred on some extra mods for it. Let’s say I wanted a JB prem, and had to sell AIQ to make space, that’s now 11.7k. Do I sell AIQ for 9k because that’s what I bought it for, or sell it for the same amount under the new nib price which would be 10.2k?

On the flip side it doesn’t feel good as a buyer paying 1k+ more 4 months later but I guess that applies to nib too.

As already said a lot will depend on the seller and how they view it, sometimes people are happy to sell at what they bought for even if they know they could get more.

This is just an example AIQ isn’t for sale 😆

What's the current thinking on a nice Congo?

New decals, legs, ramps, rubbers, nos coin door, etc, etc restored and clear coated playfield. Led's to inserts and backbox. GI is left incandescent

Only minor negative is damage to volcano but the eject scoop has been painted black so you don't really see it.

I paid 4200 for a similar condition one last summer

Under-rated machine. Mainly due to rarity and being released during the hey day of MM MB AFM & CC as an experienced uneducated guesstimate £4.5k to £5K

How much is a pimped-out Lotr with skill post cab in ok condition mint playfield but the back of the cab needs a respray and some feet Lots of mods and nos parts with it. (I think there was a restore thread about it from a member on here.

I traded it in and I really don't like the game at all so il be putting it up for sale.

Thanks in Advance Alan

Ok, (and heads up @Fubar ;)) so my better half has conceded and allowed me to 'think' about moving our Black Knight 2000 on. It's in really nice condition except mylar worn on the (N) of WIN, above top number between bumper and top rubber and a bit of bubbling around inserts as is normal for BK2Ks. Full LEDs, except for the pop bumpers, where I popped in incandescent bulbs to save my retina's.

I took it to Swavesey last year for those who were there.

Anyway, having seen other System 11 classics on eBay go through the sound barrier, what's the current thinking on what a beautiful mirrored red and black beauty?
