Hi all, told the guy on Facebook that I’d get a valuation for his stern roller coaster tycoon.
Looks in good nick.

He’s been low balled, so thought I’d help him out.

Hard one as I can’t remember one coming up for sale in a while now. Do you have a link to the post?

Used to be on the low end of Stern DMD machines at around 1-1.5k so taking pinflation into account I’d hazard a guess at 2.5k?

Last one on here advertised for 2.5 k in 2021 and marked as sold. The market for less desirable titles seems slow- so hard to tell but I wouldn’t have paid more than 2k prior to the Covid price bubble

My worry was it seems to be "located" outside under a rain shelter... that cant be doing it any good!!
 
I reckon it would have to be really nice to be 2.5k. Considering he openly admits he doesn’t maintain it and it’s under a rain shelter I would say 2k
 
Just put up a Wanted ad and wondered if anyone could help with current realistic prices for (all of) these:
  • The Walking Dead
  • Whirlwind (nicely shopped, please. I don't want (another) maintenance headache)
  • Iron Man
  • Ghostbusters (unlikely to find one, but love the theme and you never know)
  • JP2
  • Iron Maiden
  • Deadpool
  • Rush
  • (Stern) Star Wars
  • Alice Cooper's Nightmare Castle (again, unlikely, but you never know)

You can do a search on the sales posts here to get the prices, but my guesses would be (assuming all Pros):

  1. £5-6k
  2. £3-4k
  3. £4k
  4. £6-7k
  5. £6,500
  6. £6-7k
  7. £7k
  8. £7k
  9. £5-6k,
  10. No idea

I have done a search, but I'm aware a lot of the Spike 2s are sold off list and I think prices have probably peaked anyway for some pins.

Interesting, ACNC is the only one I think I can guess at. I think it's about £4.5k. I'm open to sensibly-priced Prems, as well, but it depends on what it is. Some of these pins I like more than others.

I would have thought Alice would be around the 5k mark.

There’s a few more than you think in the uk. Bit of a specialist item compared to a lot of pins.

An AC/NC sold a few months back at £5900. Reckon it's a £6k pin these days
 
Thanks :) I was guessing £5k +/- £2k for that list, with more for any Prems. So, not *too* far out :) Thanks again :)
 
Looking for realistic prices for some pins as it's getting time for a change...
  1. Gott - Big Hurt - 8.5/10 - just a couple of bulbs out and a weak lift ramp solenoid. I may get round to sorting them if I ever get 10 minutes to spare!
  2. DE - Star Trek 25th - 8/10 - flly working including transporter, but DMD seems to be outgassing. I have a new Pin2DMD on order ready to go in.
  3. Zac - Aerobatics EM. Playfield is superb: re-rubbered and electrical overhall. playfield metalwork would benefit from tidying up and re-chroming, and cabinet/backbox are prob 8/10.

Hiya

Idsay 2k to 2.5k for the Big Hurt, same for the Star Trek
The Zac would be £800 to £1300
 
A nice Big Hurt fully working and powder coated only made 1600 on eBay probably about 6 months ago. One of the resellers bought it and put it on fb for 2500 and it hung around for ages even though he was dropping the price incrementally. So I’d say 1600-1750

Agree.

I’d say historically Big Hurt was right near the bottom of the DMD pile - it has its fans but Gottlieb + Baseball was always gonna be a hard sell over here . Fraaaaaaaaaank Thomas 😮🤷‍♀️

DE Star Trek easily outguns it in value imo.
 
Just checking what everyone else thinks on a LOTR, skill posts, nice playfield, ropey cab (but with lollipop rails)
