The following takes place between 08:30am and 15:30pm

There’s a little bit of give in the vertical conduit but it’s pretty much all bolted down, things like the rad are hung from fixings on a single log. I’d read all the info on their website about this but like Neil says, I’m not too worried 😁

@replicas no pins in there yet mate. Got to sort the flooring and a few other small jobs first. I’ve got a week off in early Dec so thinking that’s when I’ll start moving things out of the garage.

Damn you @Neil McRae now I really want an Elvira 😁 what a f*cking awesome game!

The carpet place I’ve used before reopens on Weds so I’m going down their to check out what they’ve got 👍

mine is bolted down, all of my stuff is bolted down, doesn't seem to cause any big issues.

Look for a GroundsWork person rather than a builder. I used a company called bulldog groundworks.
Hi Neil - fair enough if you've not had a problem. Apparently the first cycle of winter-summer-winter or summer-winter-summer is the worst as the expansion/contraction settles down after that. I understand that the variation is more limited if the cabin is installed in autumn or spring as well. I was just mentioning the issue in case @ronsplooter was unaware of it and a slight change now could maybe prevent an issue in the future.
Edited to add that I've just read your response so looks like you have it in hand!

Thank you also for the tip re. looking for groundwork people as opposed to builders. I'll definitely try this route.

@ronsplooter - looking forward to seeing photos with the pins installed! :)

Lots of little bits and pieces been happening this week in the evenings after I finish work

First up is insulating the bottom part of the doors:

Then the carpet tiles were delivered, should look good when fitted:

I started fitting the blinds as they were also delivered on the same day as the tiles:

The de-humidifier I ordered arrived:

And finally, because I'm a nerd, the door mats were delivered today :D

I've got next week off work so hoping to get the tiles down this weekend and then start moving games in!

Now come to think of it , I think blue was Inky . Pink was pinky ,Blinky was it red or orange , cannot remember the other name !
Orange was Clyde, Blinky was red.(also shadow)

they had different names for different territorys/versions think there was speedy and pokey as well. To many years spent on pacman/puckman. Then my bro in law did his doctorate on the AI of Pac-Man 🤓

Just to close this out, last of the games that are going in there until the new year are setup  Once the garage is done I'll start the process of bring the rest of the collection over from my Dads as I reckon I might be able to squeeze 8 pins in the cabin now depending on which ones I pick :D I've also started back with the decks now they're setup:

Not my best mixing but starting to get back into it

Phase 2 of my games room plan is almost at an end so thought I'd stick an update on here :D Once the cabin was done the plan was to sort out the integrated garage into something a bit nicer to hold the other half of my games. The starting point was a a dry but dusty garage with concrete slab floor and insulated cavity walls and/or internal walls. The celiing was also already plastered so the main areas of heat loss were the garage door and the floor. I had light and a single power socket in their already and it looked a bit like this.....

First job was to do something about the garage door so I've double insulated it. I stuck a load of that flexible thermal sheeting to the door with contact adhesive and then followed up with 25mm Kingspan in as many spots as I could fit it all taped up with the aluminium foil stuff

Next up was painting as I'd already made the decision I wasn't going to plasterboard the walls in a effort to keep the costs down a bit and also I didn't think it needed it. As I was painting straight onto the block work I knew it would need a few coats of paint but as it's just my garage I didn't want to spend loads.....10L tubs of the cheapest white paint from B&M Bargains for the win

It took 3 coats on all the walls and ceiling to get a decent base down and then I needed to pick a colour. I wanted something a bit arcadey and like many on here I'd seen the colour used by a long time member in their game room so went with the often copied but never bettered @Matt Adams purple  Also went with some better quality paint for these coats and the exact colour is Johnstone's Blackcurrant Magic!

At this stage I also decided how I was going to finish off the door end. I stuck up a curtain rail and got some thick blackout curtains that should look decent and also help a little bit more with the heat retention.

Next job was the floor and originally I was going to do this myself to save some money but after thinking about it for a bit I decided to get a local builder in as they gave a very reasonable quote and could get it done in 2 days (in the freezing cold and snow) where as it would have taken me ages to do. The floor is a bit of a beast as the one thing I told them was it needed to be nice and strong to take the weight :D

Really pleased with how it turned out and it feels very solid! The sparky who did my cabin came back and sorted the electrics out. He'd already done some of the work when he was here last in prep for doing the garage so it was mainly sockets, lights and heating this time. I've got two sets of lights, the main ones of the ceiling are for when I'm working on games etc as they're really bright and the ones on the wall are lower light to give a bit of mood lighting when playing games without glare on the glass.

Last job was to put the carpet tiles down and I went with the same company and colour that I used in the cabin and think they're a good match with the walls  And that's pretty much it! Just need to get my games over from my Dad's and fill the room up!
