The eBay Auctions / Facebook / Gumtree / Shpock 2025 thread

Re-listed. This one doesn’t seem too bad? Other than it being the wrong side of the country 😆

Seller seems sound. I'd won it originally but didn't realise that eBay cancelled the sale in 72hrs if full payment wasn't made!

Why didn't you pay? eBay holds the funds until you collect.

He wanted collection only initially (a 13hr round trip for me) and we were negotiating whether Martin could collect/whether he knew how to pack the game up etc.

SCAM seller, we could all have some fun bombarding them with questions 😉
Why, seems a fair price for a 33 year old game with a couple of upgrades.

Personally don't see why TAF gets so talked up and highly priced, take away the nostalgia factor and that's how much it would be priced at. Probably why I'll never own one.

Check out his SOLD items, another pinball he was scamming previously 🤦‍♂️

He’s a busy Boy Brian. For those of you who see this, the scam will usually be to take the ‘small deposit’ mentioned on the promise of delivery. Delivery will be cheap and an attractive proposition. You might even be sent bank info/account stuff to prove they’re ‘genuine’. If you send money it’ll go to ‘dodgy bank.com’ and then you won’t hear anymore. #spideysense

I've bought a few machines from him over the years, no issues.

It seems fate is really trying to sell me a doodle bug or @Fantazia2 is lol

Anyone know this chap? I’m just cruising around the med but will nab this I think if it’s still available when I’m back.

No market down turn here

Close to a record for MSF and not working properly

Half the photos with black flipper rubbers and half with orange rubbers. Inconsistent photos is always a red flag.

It mentions the rubbers being changed in the description.
It looks to have the same apron cards and sticker on the coin door too.
It's just possible that it's been in his garage at some stage previously or even now and he has plenty of feedback and has given a good description.

I don't see the red flag but I don't know as much as you guys.

It is an unusually high bid though.

Says he's had it 10 years, probably been moved about and flipper rubbers changed as mentioned.

Also agree about it looking like it's being shilled.

I wouldn't advertise a pinball machine with old photos showing it in all different locations. Surely nobody will pay £4k+ for this with an intermittent DMD and a coil out. It will be relisted next week. I thought £2k max at the start.

Agree, even looking great, with the faults listed max £2k, one on eBay sold a couple weeks back needing a DMD and cpu for £1200, so this one well overpriced and shill bidding for sure …..

I've just seen the Frankenstein 🤣
Definitely a BS price

If there was a legitimate buyer at that price. There is a fully workshopped one with colour DMD on Pinside for $3000 (£2200), so even after tax and shipping you would be better off buying that one

I know a friend who bidded on the Frankenstein but after suspecting it's being shilled has withdrawn his bids
