My Iron Man shut down last night, flippers went dead and the shaker was permanently rumbling? All lights are working and the pinwoofer too so no problems there. I had to disconnect the shaker from the board to stop the rumbling but since plugging it back in it's totally dead too. On start of game the trough isn't kicking the ball into the shooter lane either so this is dead. There was a nasty burning smell too but as most of you on here know I'm not great at fixing issues, where do we start on this? Any help is much appreciated as always.

i’d start with a visual inspection. look at the boards and the coils to see if anything looks burnt out. any fuses blown? most likely the coil driver area of the circuit.

Use ya nose, that burning smell shouldn’t be too hard to sniff out - coil or flasher locked on?

use your nose on a node board. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

I was thinking more under playfield - I’m guessing sniffing out a blown component on a node board would be a bit of a challenge [emoji106][emoji23]

I had some weirdness with my TRON a while back - was power board related - Andy @ Pinball Mania sorted it fairly quickly for a very reasonable price.

(same board-set)
