Bally Game Show in nice condition - complete with host Keith McTeeth!
This has been completely stripped down and cleaned, all new white rubber rings fitted, yellow post rubbers all cleaned.
All stand-up targets removed, cleaned, polished and re foamed as original.
All mechanisms overhauled.
Burnt general illumination plug and board pins replaced with upgraded units.
Boardset very clean with no signs of previous battery leakage.
It has had replacement Rottendog displays at some point.
New slingshot plastics with clear protectors. All other major plastics with clear protectors (thanks Collywobbles!).
Playfield insert lamps changed to LEDs. General illumination left as incandescents as it has that warm glow and suits the game.
Playfield has mylar protection with slight lifting on inserts which is normal for this era of game. Slight wear to playfield where no mylar - ramp drop and ramp entrance but nothing major.
Backbox has had new red t-moulding round the edges and new chrome trim on top.
Lovely mirrored backglass (not translite) with a couple of very minor marks.
Cabinet and backbox have minor scuffs but nothing alarming.
Custom apron cards.
New shiny chrome legs (as original system 11) new levellers and leg bolts with washers.

A nice solid, clean game that plays great and fast with everything working as it should. It has a bell in the cabinet that rings when you do well - very retro! You could also win.............. A NEW CAR :D .
Price £2,000.

Playfield glass has just one 2" scratch.

Looks absolutely wonderful, have never had the opportunity to play one of these but have always fancied it. I can hear the music in my head just looking at the pictures 😂

Nice one, I like those type of pinballs. I blinked and it's gone, as usual. I won't say it's frustrating, in case I get shot again.

You missed my Simpsons at 2K5. You missed this one at 2k. There was a Riverboat gambler on for around 24 hrs at 1K5 ono and now that’s gone. There’s a pattern forming here but not sure I’ve found the formula yet. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I can't see a road trip to Spain anytime soon for a TOTAN either. Pinball buying CAN be instinctive but also YOLO . Snooze in 2022 and you definetly LOOSE
I would like to thank you all for your advice, but I don't understand what you wrote. Could you please translate that into manageable chunks, for the lesser minds?

Dripping with cynicism here, he's potentially suggesting that you should hang around the forums in working hours so that you can send a four-figure sum of money to a stranger for a sight-unseen (except for photos) piece of vintage computing/mechanica with a high potential of having difficult/expensive-to-fix problems because that's how things roll in 2022...

Speaking as someone who went through this carousel earlier this year, that model is not practical unless you are childless (or have kids who have left home) and, also, a van.

What is your suggested alternative?

EDIT: Feel free to answer in the official pricing thread, I don't want to derail this one.

I've only ever bought pins using this method (sometimes didn't even get to see photos). Haven't got a van, but Martin makes it all possible, you just send the money to the seller, give Martin a ring and the machine turns up a couple of weeks later.

Not had a real problem yet - the odd post/switch/lamp shaken out during transit, but you've got to expect that.

There are certain sellers around here you can just say I WANT IT sight unseen. These days you gotta take a bit of a risk or you will miss every game going at a decent price. Set up email alerts / pop ups (working from home sat at pc all day also helps.... hehe)

@Aladeran you asked politely about the DE Simpsons in the other thread, When I come to move it on I will give you first refusal.

I think it's more about how you conduct yourself, using some noggin and being patient. Bought loads remotely from UK and overseas before and during this 'crises' ...I don't have a van either. A mate of mine has just bought two machines this week. I'd suggest treating it more of a challenge and the thrill of the hunt.

OT here I know but Garry has sold his pin so don't think it matters in this instance.

For those looking for a Game Show my recently refurbed and unfaded one is going to Pinfest this year and I may sell it there.

There was no cynicism intended, sorry if that came across that way.

Definitely missed the Simpsons and Game Show, but the Riverboat Gambler did not appeal to me as I don't play cards.

I actually check the forum 2-3 times a day, I am not sure what else I could do to improve my chances to be there on time.

It was suggested by a couple of members that I contact a local dealer who might have something within my price range and interest.

Sorry, I meant *I* was dripping with cynicism, not you.

Can you move the discussion over to the pricing thread where I‘ve tagged you a couple of times to avoid clogging up this SOLD thread, please?

Firstly the game looks wonderful, another title I've yet to have the pleasure of playing.

Secondly you really need to set up your forum notifications so your phone alerts you when a for sale thread is posted.

There are titles available to buy and a means to get them delivered.

I purchased Fish Tales last week from someone on here who I'd never met before but I was aware had dealings with others. I transferred the money over, Martin collected the machine on Monday and delivered it to me on Tuesday.

No prior knowledge, no use of a private van. I'd seen the pictures but after that is was a matter of faith and trust . . . . the machine is fantastic and I couldn't be happier.

On this forum you have to have faith & trust as well as a few interactions with people. If that's too much of a risk (and I fully understand why it would be) then the only real risk free option is a new in box game. This is a forum where people discuss pinball and occasionally sell second hand games, there is a risk involved and it's good to mitigate that risk. But the moment you decide to use this forum as a place to purchase a machine you need to be fast on the trigger.

I have tried to help you out and told you twice about there is a local pinball dealer just along the road from you I have given you his number yet you have not got in touch with him ?? … he is well respected and know within the pinball community always has a variety of pins and is very fair on pricing and he will take time to speak with you about pins which will actually save you the time of (keep) missing out on buying pins ??? You can physically go and see them play them and make a decision and this person is right in your door step 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️
