Hi all I'm hoping you can point me in the right direction for a clear coat to use on the playfield. Not the whole playfield just to cover over a touch up to protect it. I don't want to use Mylar due to the look. From reading the various forums I was edging towards Varathane Crystal Clear (USA) which is water based however you can't purchase this in the UK. The UK version is oil based.

I'm happy to spray (using airbrush or spray can) or brush on using a foam brush.

Any help finding the right clear coat would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I think most clear coats would do from likes of Halfords or other auto supply stores

Thanks rudedogg1 I have used an acrylic laquer on cabs I was just looking at using something more durable which is why I considered polyurethane. I was also worried the laquer may react to the playfield or acrylic touch up. How many coats do you put on and then do you simply feather the edges out?

If the end result of the touch up is good I'll post a before and after. The wear is in front of the flippers so I'm attempting to get the end result really good.

I wonder how much would it be to just take an entire playfield to a local car painting place and get them to do the entire thing professionally?
