I’ve had several TAF’s inc 1 TAFG which I sold in 2016 for 7.5k back then!
Same lad still has this after speaking to him recently but one things for sure I hope you have a huge budget as these will probably be bordering on double that amount now if not more.

Snap! I brought #0082 17 years ago, you didn't get yours from AJ pinball did you? They had a few golds back in the day.
different roms. my non gold taf has the gold roms.
Adam (AJ Pinball) still has his own one, but I don't think he would ever part with it. You can see it next in the picture next to my IJ when he refurbished it for me.
Roms - which add ball save iiirc and throw loads of free points at you.
Plus some ‘gold’ bumper caps and plastics …. I say gold , more mustard yellow
They look crap IMO .I think the cab art might be tweaked also - gold highlights ???
I think there was a crossover and some regular TAFs ended up in Gold cabs or something also .
I remember that Ebay listing. I didn’t bid because I honestly thought it would go for 5K plus…couldn’t believe it!
My TAFG came from Germany. Great playfield, battered Cab, £3500- but it had all the paperwork & Certificate. Turned up on 27th December after going missing for a few days.
Remember it well.. wife should have been at work when the game was delivered.. but it was early… I got in some serious **** for that one.
Mine was a German cab that I bought off someone from Hexham.
Bizarrely I had a conversation last week with a member on here... he bought a pin from Germany about 15 years ago. When it arrived the delivery company accidentally left a TAFG with it as well. Turns out it should have been delivered to Hexham!
Must have been the same one. Can't believe there were 2 German TAFGs in Hexham at the same time!

I haven't met Jon. I think Adam is doing it more as a hobby now as he enjoys refurbishing Pins. I have been really lucky as Adam has fully refurbished 6 of my Pins over the lasts five years and he has done an absolutely amazing job on them.That's good to hear Adam is still in the hobby, is Jon still about? Also some other differences in TAFG.
Flipper buttons are OPTOs (easy way to see if you have a fake!) - they are leaf on an original.
Buy in button is installed on the front of the cabinet.
Has the later door switch that physically disconnects 50V and 20V from playfield when door is opened.
Has Fliptronic II board for flippers.
Seen quite a few fakes which just put in roms and hack the buy in button. Funny how the receipt always says 'Pinball Machine'.
If you want to put in gold roms it is very easy. Remove 2 and install 3. Doesnt matter about buy in button.

TAFG has a more vibrant playfield and doesn't have the diamond plate logo on it.
