TAF swamp sounds missing

This is a bit of a strange one but I recently fit some gold roms to my TAF and
all is good except and quotes which should result when the ball goes in the
swamp from the shooter, are not there.
eg.... enjoy your swim and when locking for multi ball, good thinking!
There are more but you get the idea.
All other sounds work and swamp shots from normal play all work as they should,
eg quicksand, fumes, toxic waste when hit from thing filpper and the well done
thing etc.
I have checked all swamp switches and all are fine, is there a possibility that
those quotes were not written to the rom?
It is not a big deal but would like it there.
It did work on my standard roms.

Paul did them, I also got a TZ with no issues, It seems a bit strange just to miss out the swamp from shooter quotes but i suppose i can't think of any other explanation, everything works in the sound and speech test but those quotes are not in the test.
Can i put my old sound rom in to see if they return?
I thought it may be missing the switch combination which triggers them.

Sorry if this is a stupid response as I'm not good with mechanical side of things but......
Is it possible to have the swamp subway switch back to front/wrong way round so to speak?
I remember cleaning the swamp subway on my old TAF but can't remember how the switches fit?
Like I said I'm not good with the mechanics etc however so that may be way off what the issue is?

All swamp switches tested working and in the correct order, I don't know much about roms but i think they must be seated correct or they would not work at all (i have been told).
Does anyone know which rom does what? My original roms were just two of, a game rom and a sound rom.
The gold roms have three chips, is one game and two sound?
Could one be working and one part working?
Could i put my old rom back in and see if it works?

Doesn't TAFG have a load of extra call outs and DMD animations, I'd guess thats why theres an extra ROM. I don't know but would have thought that the game will check the ROMs on boot up so wouldn't expect you've be able to mix and match gold game ROM with standard sounds ROM....I may be wrong though.
 
I have a mate with the TAFG roms and his does the call outs from the swamp from the shooter, mine does every other extra sound compared to the standard roms, i ran the standard for over 12 months and now with the gold roms all the extras are there except the shooter to swamp sound bits. I suppose i could have a bad rom but it really seems strange that that is the only sounds which are missing when all the other extra bits are there.
It is a strange one indeed.

Try re-installing the ROMS, it's possible you've bent a leg underneath without knowing. Also check that all ribbon cables are seated properly. Good luck in resolving it!

Failing that re-install the old ROMS to check the sound is there. If it is then it is a problem with the new ROMS if not then the problem is elsewhere...

You are more than kind, you did the first lot for virtually free, i will pm my address but only when i have checked everything else.
I still find it difficult to believe that the only sounds missing would be a few when the ball hits the swamp from the shooter, surley there would be issues in all areas.
Again thanks as i really want this right but don't want to take the p*ss, or send me your paypal address and i will send a fiver to at least cover some costs, in fact if you let me know your address i must have about 8 spare rom chips!!

Just had a game on TAF and when i was awarded a quick multiball i launched the ball and it fell back into the swamp and i got one of the missing quotes. So it would seem they are there but don't seem to work under normal play but do with a feature (or at least the quick multiball feature) i will investighre more.
While it doesn't help any it at least proves they are present on the roms.
