just putting out the feelers for a T2. Was originaly going for a Ripleys , however on good advice, was told that the game play on the T2 is far better. Have the cash ready

I know which I would rather but each to their own. Have you played both?

No I played the T2 recently for the first time at Manchester expo , liked the cannon feature and multi ball. Not had a go on a Ripleys yet

They are both good machines. Ripleys a but deeper, T2 has more flow. T2 is a dream if you like adding mods, there seems to be loads available.

These 2 games are so different.

Loved T2 but never got into Ripleys.

I'd fish for more advice mate. Have only played T2 myself but have heard really good things about RBION. There'll be multitudes of videos on YouTube look out for the papa tutorials too on there, worth the watch to see how deep a game is...

As a newbie who's hardly played anything my views might not be that important but I've only room for 2 machines (3 max) so have set out to always have one 'deep' game and one 'flow' one at same time. Started with RBION and HS2 and loving both for very different reasons and still happy with my plan

Just my opinion of course, but in the home environment T2 doesn't stand up too well if it's you're only game or in a very small collection as it's just multiball/super jackpots over and over. You'll see all the game has to offer very quickly. RBION is a very deep game with a super difficult wizard mode so would stand up to home play much better. All depends on what kind of experience you're after but my general rule is to have difficult games at home so they last longer

My one was tucked away in the corner of the very last row of machines, #124. Your one must of been next to my RFM. :)

Really appreciate the feedback guys what I get is they are both good pins for different reasons. Which ever one turns up first, will be fine by me. The RBON sounds good due to the deep game play

I love my T2, its a great game with fantastic flow. I agree with what has been said here already by others though, it doesn't have a very deep ruleset so would get boring if it was your only machine quite quickly. In a bigger collection its great though.

Tbh why limit yourself to either? Not sure of your budget but there are some great games out there, there is an Adams Family for sale right now on this forum, one of the best games out there. If it turns out it's not your cuppa you can sell/trade and go again with something else....

i reckon you should only dive in when you know the game you want and have played it. there's some games that people rave about, and when i played one for the first time i didn't like them at all - i'm glad that i hadn't found out after bringing it home. you may love Ripleys, but don't buy one before you ever tried it.

my advice is to get yourself along to some people's houses to have a play on lots of different games - league meets, mini tournaments, socials etc. then when you have a dozen or so titles in your list, pare them down by comparing with your budget, and end up with a shortlist of 2-3 titles, any of which you'd be happy to get in your house. good luck dude, first game is an exciting time

Dont overthink it. Go with yr gut instinct. What do *you* like, what theme/look appeals to *you* in a game. Opinions are just that. Pinball is a very personal thing, for every lover of a game there is a hater ...its the yin and yang of the pinball universe, it keeps the balance, it keeps things interesting, it means we don't go round someones house and see the same bl**dy sanctioned games that clutter the Top 10 lists.

T2 is the pinball that would get my vote if you were allowed to change one rule on one pin only.
You should only be able to get Super Jackpot if you have 3 balls in play.
