Hello,

My Fish Tales kept tripping my RCD last week and was doing it whether it was machine switched on or off.

On doing some reading, it appears to be the line filter that is causing it. So, on to Pinball Mania to order a replacement. It arrived this week, so tonight I took the metal switch box off. On taking it off, I can see that there are also two thermistors (?).

My questions are:
- What are they?
- Do I need to replace them?
- Where can I buy them?

Any tips for replacing the line filter?

Thanks for any help!

Cheers!

The green one is a varistor. It protects against over volts. The other inline with the fuse is a THERMistor. It controls the inrush of current and helps prevent trips. Both can be transferred or replaced. I have both in my shop.

Andy.

Thanks Andy. I will try and transfer them first and then if the problem persist, I will order and replace.
