SWEP1 Newcore Help won’t boot

Have you done this yet? It's all a process of elimination you see..
Not yet mate but I will look in to it and go through it, don’t want to mess anything up anymore than it is so will make sure I research what I’m doing first 👍

If you have the manual for the motherboard, you could check to see if it mentions POST indicators - LED flashes or beeps that might indicate where it gets to in the boot process before sometimes failing.

A couple of other things it could be that can be tested for:

- Failing RAM: these can be tested using the memtest86.com tool - instructions on that website.

- Silver paste between CPU fan and CPU has gone hard/bad. Remove the fan, scrape off the old paste, and replace with a tiny blob of new paste - instructions on YouTube.
Thanks, will check this also. I did wonder about the ram. Will get some thermal paste and reseat that too 👍

Reseat ram or replace it. You should only need 2GB

Good point about the paste on the cpu but as its on boot up I dont think the cpu would heat up that quick.

Do the caps look okay?

I would change the motherboard. You can pick them up cheap!
