Swap a t3 dmd for a sttng dmd?

Think I may have degassing on my t3 dmd. I was about to swap it out for my sttng display to check but then noticed there is no driver board attached to the t3 display. The power molex connector and the ribbon socket still match, just there is this extra driver board attached to the sttng display. Are they still interchangable? Hope that makes sense .

Yes they're interchangeable.

Con they are not!! Not all, I had a t3 that only accepted vishay displays

Both displays are Cherry branded, orange displays but have slightly different model numbers. The sttng display is a PD01-B22D. The T3 display is a PD01-B22A. Here's a pic to show what the difference is. You can see the two connectors are the same on both boards. Just need to know I won't damage anything by swapping them over.

You'll find they look exactly the same once you remove the cardboard on the one on T3.

Nothing bad will happen, like I said, they're interchangeable, they use the same voltages.

Thanks. Swapped them and it looks like the display is degassing. Bo**ocks.
