Stuck flipper on JD

Hi
My JD has just started developing a new fault where the left flippers are permanently stuck up during a game.
It happened mid game. And they wouldn't move.
I turned the game completely off and they came down.
I switched it back on. They stayed down. Put a game on and they immediately came up, even before I press the flipper button.
So it looks electrical to me.
Where do I go from here?

First check that the opto interrupter on the left hand flipper board is not stuck open.

Opto interrupter on the flipper board? I'll do a bit of research to figure out what one looks like!

It's the little board that sits on the flipper button

And make sure a the cables are seated securely on the fliptronics board in the backbox

Right, I have resat the connector to the flipper board and the fault has disappeared. Hurrah. Thank you for the help.
