hi,bought a sttng of a guy on here a few weeks ago,ive switched the coin door of my afm and connected it up hoping the coin mech would work but it doesn't.
the pins are all fine, the machine is not set on free play, the solder joints on the board are all ok and there is power to the coin slot light but the coins are just falling straight through.

as much help as poss would be much appreciated as its going into my local club and the owners asking were it is,many thanks in advance!!!

Hi,

I take it you've swapped the door from your AFM, where it worked, to the Star Trek, where it doesn't. You could try also transferring the door interface board, assuming that they're the same for both WPC and WPC95.

Thanks but I think there different,I've spoke to Phil at pinball heaven and I need to short some switches on the board and see if the machine gets a reading,a bit lost with this and don't want to pester

The coin switches are like any other switch. They can be tested in switch edge mode. Look at manual establish the coloured wires for each coin switch. One will be based green, one white. Locate on interface board , short together, look for response in test mode. If ok , then wires are working.

There is also four switches on the interface board that inhibit coins on an electronic mech. Try flipping them over.

The interface board is probably different from TZ to AFM. So you may have to compare schematics to work out how to get the signals where they need to go.
