This is now sold pending payment but uploaded some photos here just in case buyer changes his mind.

It is Fuse 1 that is blowing (43VDC solenoids) but doesn't sound or smell like any are locking on).

My mate who owns Arcade Hub in Hull is looking to sell his Strange Science.

It has an issue - fuse keeps blowing but he can’t remember which one!

He’s taken it out of the arcade and put it in storage ready for me to have a look at but will be a few weeks before I get time to do that and in the meantime he needs cash quickly to pay for an arcade machine he’s bought for the arcade so he’s looking to shift it.

I had it at mine to refurbish it back in January and it’s been working fine since then until it started blowing the fuse a couple of weeks back.

Good player’s condition from what I remember.

He’s asking £800. Collection from Hull though I know he’s hiring a van later this week to do a run to Sheffield so delivery could be possible.

Sorry but only photos are a couple I took when I was refurbing it at my house - will ask for more if anyone is genuinely interested.

I'm sure @AlanJ got the neon working before he sold it originally? Or maybe I'm wrong. Have been before. It was a rainy Tues in 2001...........

Is it the same game?

As per edited original post - sold pending payment but just uploading photos in case buyer pulls out.

Also forgot that I had fitted a new Power Supply board imported from the US in it.

Also note that in photo it looks like display is faulty. This is not the case - it’s just timing of photo! The displays appeared to have segments out when I booted it up but I just reseated connectors at board end and all good.

If the buyer(s) all pull out then I'll merrily have it, same day pick up and no haggling (I know there's a queue of interested people, I'm not trying to jump the queue!)
Full disclosure: I'd then expect to flip it for the same price (unless there are some big, unexpected repair costs) in a couple of months.

FYI I'm on the look-out to pick up a few more machines for an event in August, with a view to flipping them afterwards. I'm not looking to make a quick buck, and I don't mind writing off my transport costs when I flip them.
I can afford to temporarily sink a few thousand on this so if anyone who knows me has something that might be suitable give me a shout.

I’m not sure. My mate says it only works at certain points in the game and I didn’t play test it. If it doesn’t I’m sure the new owner will be in touch to take up your kind offer of help 😊👍

Ah ...ok ,that makes sense ,it would only flash when it needs to
I will definitely let you know once I receive the pin. Is is true that the easiest way to test it is to plug the neon in the large light bulb plug (on the small board that feeds the neon and light bulb)? Literally making it work constantly but at least you know that it’s working…
