Storing CPU Board

I bought a Rocket CPU from Pinsound for my TZ.

Old board is fully functional but hacked so I would like to keep it as a backup rather than sell.

It has just one battery on board which, I am guessing, is rechargeable - see photo.

Can I leave that battery on the board when I wrap it in bubble wrap to store or am I best removing it entirely? Can it leak? Any advantages to leaving it on?

Thanks

Andy

Never seen one like that before :D I'd remove it if you're storing it :thumbs:Why take the risk for what is a 10 second job.

Looks to be a lithium battery:

Lithium batteries generally don’t leak but Chris is quite right, if you’re storing the board remove the battery to prevent any chance at all of it being a problem!

Will snip it off and solder on remote battery holder just in case I need it in future (more likely when I need it in future!).
