When I paint the base colour I'll need to make some stencils for the blue circles on Royal Guard....
Question is, once I've cut them out from some card what's the best way to stick them down to get the edges flush before spraying?

Once again, thx for the help!

Not sure on how to use cardboard.

Have you thought about using frisket? Frisket widely used for this sort of job

all depends what fell you want ..
for a shape look (all lines crips and shape)
for old look (all edges are fuzzy not shape , a bit like how it was original done )stand the stencils off with blue tac
Try both ways out , and see which one you like your self !!

Just tape it down and spray it  As Carl says, stand the stencil off the cab slightly to try and get the original overspray look if you want that. I tried using Frisket when I did my Flash Gordon cab and it turned out to be a massive ball ache...stencils are definitely the way to go if you can get (or make) them :)
