Stern Odd noise, then code update

This might be an odd one...

Had my FF LE on idle after having played a few quick games. Randomly after about 30 mins of sitting idle it honestly sounded like the speakers (or something) farted

LCD and lights turned off, then the code started updating on its own over WIfi. It is still updating at the moment.

Is this normal?!

Yes, what you heard there was the electrical noise going to the speakers. Your game is insider connected so its just going to pull updates whenever a new one is released. Happened on my EHOH on Friday I thought I had another power cut as I was working on a machine in the room at the time and it made me jump.

haha yeah I thought the exact same in terms of a powercut!

Totally normal unfortunately. It is one of the joys of yanking the power from digital amps without having a clean shutdown...

TBH, I'm surprised you could hear anything over the noise of the bloody PSU fan.

They seem to have replaced the noisy ones in earlier machines with 'something taking off' versions in FF! Got it open for an ethernet cable as the Wifi dongle is poor and the noise is ridiculous but can't find my Noctua fan box to do anything about it.
