Stern Metallica Remake(?) Discussion

Been a while since this threads been used... Played the remastered for the first time at Retroids this week, man oh man what a game. I'd always thought Jaws prem would be my grail pin but the experience on this one was something else.

One question for home owners: do you find the game to be grindy after playing multiple games of trying to collect the same things or is it refreshing compared to other games?

Someone stop me selling off my entire collection for both Jaws Premium and Metallica premium!

Living the dream:-).....
Just need the actual game now and then sorted....😄
P.s: anyone know the best method of getting rid of those marks? (Assuming they are common and I shouldn't be sending back) I'm thinking a non abrasive cloth, so not to scratch the metal, but was wondering if there's any chemical I should use at the same time to make it nice and shiny?

It just occurred to me that the topper uses the same theme colours as the LE.

I don’t find it any more grindy than any other game and there’s multiple ways to play too. The remaster has some great added modes (I love going for Lux Eterna) - my only critism is that you would be unaware that some of the modes exist if you didn’t read a rule sheet (the flip side of that is it’s good to read up on the rules anyway to get the most out of a game)

If you’re a fan of Metallica you can’t go wrong, if you’re not a fan there’s still loads to enjoy. I’ve had the Pro, Premium & now the Remaster and I still love playing it 🤘🏼

I bought the original after playing a nice pro at Northern Lights a few years back.
At the time I owned GOTG and it seemed to have a very similar layout which I loved but code wise MET seemed streets ahead.
Bear in mind I’m not a MET fan but the music just suited gameplay and TBH has grown on me a lot now.
in the time I’ve had MET a few music pins have came and went inc AC/DC, GnR, AS and easily over a dozen other non music pins.
This kinda shows how I rate MET and the upgrade was simply a no brainer with awesome LCD assets tastefully ported over, more music tracks, UV lighting, nicer sculpts and awesome metallic art on my LE to die for.
I also heard they tweaked the geometry ever so slightly but this I can’t confirm albeit plays slightly faster that may or may not be down the the new stern flipper assys.
I now realise there’s no such thing as a keeper but it’s going nowhere soon.

Yeah I currently have a limit of 3 based on space which is why it's hard to commit to one of them being anything for a long period of time, but Metallica felt in the first few games like the most approachable game I'd played. Interestingly I had played the original Met premium about 12 months ago but had a meh game and didn't think much of it so perhaps they have tweaked the geometry very slightly as I found flow easier than before but could've been the wheatabix.

But given the low limit for now, a game has to have decent depth for me to warrant keeping it around, especially at the premium price tag.
